      His lips couldn’t help but form a soft smile as he watched the other’s lively reaction to his ‘trouble making’. It brought him a sense of happiness, despite the circumstances. 

       “I thought that was what friends do. You really shouldn’t be so upset.”

                                                                      “I’ll protect you.”  

No… Smiling wasn’t allowed nor the hint of amusement for her situation. She swore the male’s boyfriend acted just as any jealous idiot would. Which– in his case alone– she was terribly afraid of.
